travel south pacific french polynesia huahine around the island
The cruise line approach to the island is into Maroe Bay, appearing very sparsely populated... the main town of Fare is on the other side of the island.
The tender drops you at a new dock in Maroe along a seemingly unused narrow paved road next to a few homes.
Snorkeling trips leave from the same dock, so does a local bus that will take you to the town of Fare where, it appears, many of the island's people live.
